Married metals necklace and two silver lost wax casting rings I made during high school. Through the use of cultural symbols, my work alludes to East Asian culture and provides the viewer with a sense of comfort by incorporating delicate, organic forms combined with vibrant hues. My work is centered mostly around the fragility of nature, with many pieces featuring flowering plants such as the sakura cherry blossom. The body of work as a whole serves to portray beauty in the delicacy and fleeting aspect of nature in the Eastern world, and by creating pieces in small scale, the viewer is able to fully comprehend the intricacy and allure within each creation.
